HP Printer Cartridges
Printers are great devices, and much relied on today, tracing their way hundreds of years back to Guttenberg and beyond. The printer allows us to take electronic documents and store them in a hard copy form. Finding a great printer is key to printing great pictures and accurate documents. One of the leaders in printer tech is Hewlett Packard. Their printers cover the range pricing from basic models of average price to larger wireless, fax, copy and print devices. They specialize in printing photographs, but can extend to any need imaginable.
Of course, to properly print on an HP printer, the correct ink is needed. The ink is bought and stored in a small cartridge. This is how the printer companies can sell their printers at a somewhat reduced rate: they count on you having to buy HP printer cartridges, so they have a source of income for as long as you own their machine.
To purchase the ink, make sure you know the model number of the printer. Then, go to the HP store or one of the big box office supplies stores and use their inventory browsing tools to find the correct model number for the ink. Another option is to go to the store and look at the different ink boxes for confirmation that they will work for your respective printer. Once you have located the correct number, the rest is easy. Simply pick out what ink you would like and purchase it. There are many different inks to choose from. Some are a higher quality for pictures and graphs and some are a lower quality for text and black and white printing. Also, they come in colored varieties as well as sepia and grey scale. Overall, if you know what you will be printing and the model number for the printing device, picking out ink can be easy and quite quick
Once you have picked out the ink, the next step is to install it. Directions commonly come with the printer or can be found online. Typically, though, the top of the printer opens up to reveal and ink tray. Simply take out the old cartridge and properly dispose of it, then take off the protective tape, and pop the new cartridge in. Once you have done this, close up the printer and reset it so that the low ink error will no longer appear. After this, print a few test pages to ensure the ink is evenly printing. Finally, do a few tests found on your computer for the printer. Print an alignment page, through the control panel section of the computer, and scan it. This will ensure the scanner and printer are in alignment after the changing of the cartridge. Then, print a color page to ensure the inks are properly installed and working. It is as simple as that.
