Free Cell Phones
In this day and age, almost everyone has a cellular phone. They are now considered a necessity among many parents, to better keep a check on the kids while away from home. They allow you to leave the home without leaving the safety and comforts of communication behind. While cell phones are rapidly becoming a necessity, this doesn't mean that they come cheap. The latest smart phones can be several hundred dollars to purchase, on top of the cost of the activation plan. There are though, phones that will come free with their respective phone plan. These free phones have their pros and cons, but are usually decent cell phones that function well, which is a plus considering their non existent price tag. They just won?t have the frills of the most expensive phones.
Free cell phones are a great way to get a new plan while being able to afford a plan-compatible phone. Free cell phones usually have basic functions. These include texting functions like an inbox and outbox as well as a drafts folder. They also have all of the call functions of the more expensive cell phones. The camera may not be nearly as high of a quality as the more expensive phone and the sound capability not as advanced. Also, music cannot usually be imported and used on the free phone, and there is usually a skimpy selection of basic games. Furthermore, the memory status on a free phone is usually less than that of an expensive phone as well. The normal tools are similar for both the free phone and the expensive phone, though. Both phones contain an alarm, calculator, calendar, and a basic stopwatch, both are usually internet capable, depending on the internet plan. The major difference, however, is the display. The displays and overall look of free phones is cheap. The text options are also limited. In the more expensive phone, though, the options are limitless.
Overall, there is not a huge difference between free phones and expensive phones. Their text messaging capabilities and phone calling capabilities are very similar. As are tool functions and internet options. Their displays, though, are vastly different. The expensive phones are far flashier with larger screens, slicker keyboards, and better font options. Even more disappointing, though, is the media functionality of free phones. They have few game functions, poor cameras, and low sound quality. But, if all you want to do is talk and or text, the free cell phone will probably be just fine.
