Cable TV Providers

Entertainment is a must have in today's world. Whether it is the news, the big game, or the premier of a new show, cable television is key to enjoying these forms of entertainment. Overall, cable television is relatively inexpensive, and a great joy to have for singles and families alike. Cable television not only provides access to breaking news, but informational and entertaining content. However, cable TV providers can be hard to locate.

You can get cable television through a variety of providers. In the United States alone, there are more than a dozen cable TV providers. The top five are quite common. The first is the Comcast Corporation. It is by far the largest cable TV provider in the United States with over 25 million subscribers. Furthermore, they provide interesting options such as on demand viewing, a digital video recorder that allows the pausing and recording of live television, as well as a whole slew of bundle options that can be paired with internet service and phone service. The second largest is Time Warner Cable. While it is not as well known as Comcast Cable, it is subscribed to by over 13 million people and operates in 28 states. The third most subscribed to cable TV provider is Charter Communications. Despite only having 5.7 million subscribers, Charter works much like Comcast in that they provide bundle deals, a digital video recorder option, and on demand viewing. A fourth cable TV provider is Cox Communications. It also has just under 6 million subscribers and offers television service as well as telephone service; however, it is a private company so it does not have the resources of the previous three. Finally, the fifth most common cable TV provider is CableVision. It has just over 3 million subscribers, but is growing. Currently, CableVision is only available in the northeast; however, with more support it will spread over the country.

All in all, cable television is a great resource to have at home for both news and entertainment. Overall, it is relatively affordable and easy to set up. However, it can be confusing as to which cable TV provider is right for you. The top five cable TV providers: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter, Cox Communications, and CableVision make cable available all over the United States with their services, so it isn't a matter of if you can get cable, it is only a matter of if you want it!
