No. It's a lot of money that could be spent on something that's not just going to be a fad. Really, 3D comes around every 20 years or so, always being touted as the next big thing, spends a few months to a couple years being bounced around and then it disappears while we shrug our shoulders and shake our heads wondering what it was that we were thinking. Maybe, maybe if they ever come up with 3D you don't have to wear glasses to see, I might consider it, but really, there are only a hand full of movies that look good and were actually shot for 3D (rather than converted) so again, save your money and maybe get a HD widescreen TV.
Got one and I LOVE it! I ran out and bought a copy of Avatar and watched it twice, NICE!!. Really, this is the wave of the future, and I feel like the Jetson every time I turn the thing on. Some games and other shows are also broadcast in 3D (check with your cable company to see what they have) and I'm running out to buy some more 3D movies. I have my friends over for 3D parties now, it's great! And as with other technology, it'll only get better and better over time. So yeah, jump in and hold on, as the age of 3D entertainment is about to begin!
